Guru Har Krishan Sahib Ji
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਜਿਸੁ ਡਿਠੇ ਸਭਿ ਦੁਖਿ ਜਾਇ ॥
I meditate upon Guru Sri Har Kishan, whose mere sight alleviates all sufferings.
(Guru Gobind Singh Ji, Sri Dasam Guru Granth Sahib Ji)
Guru Harkrishan Sahib Ji is the eighth embodiment of Sri Akaal Purakh. Born on 7 July 1656 in Kiratpur Sahib, they became the youngest Guru of the Sikhs at the age of five. Guru Ji had the shortest tenure as Guru, lasting only two years and five months. Upon learning about the outbreak of smallpox in Delhi, Guru Ji went there to provide shelter and care to those in need. Unfortunately, Guru Ji contracted smallpox and passed away before their eighth birthday.
Shortly before their passing, Guru Ji uttered 'Baba Bakale,' indicating that the next successor of the Sikhs would be Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji.
